Navigation and Behaviour for Land, Air, and Subsurface
MOBILITY
Movement true to the platform, in every domain
A tank, a drone and a submersible don’t move the same way, and a credible scenario can’t treat them as if they do. Kythera gives each kind of entity navigation built around how it really moves: routing that respects turning circles and steering for ground vehicles, and full 3D navigation through open volume for air and subsurface entities. Both are part of the same C++ middleware that plugs into the engine you already use, so you integrate once rather than sourcing a separate solution for each domain.
01 / GROUND VEHICLES
Ground vehicles that drive like the real thing
Route planning built around a vehicle’s turning circle, size and steering. Ackermann steering for wheeled vehicles such as cars and trucks, differential steering for tracked and skid-steer platforms, and tunable path following across complex 3D terrain. Paths the vehicle can actually drive, including reversing and tight corners.
02 / AIR AND SUBSURFACE
Full 3D navigation through open space
A three-dimensional picture of navigable space, coarse across open sky or water and resolved in fine detail where it’s cluttered. Clearance-aware movement lets entities of different sizes share an environment, each navigating to its own dimensions. Navigable space regenerates as the world changes, without stalling the simulation.
WHY IT MATTERS
What this means for your simulation
Mixed-domain scenarios where every platform moves like the one it represents: convoys on the ground, drones overhead, assets below the surface, all without stitching together a separate navigation solution for each.
GET IN TOUCH
Book a 30 minute call
Thirty minutes with the engineers who built Kythera. We walk through navigation, behaviour, and integration against a scenario like yours: no slides, no sales team.
See the re-route run live, ask the hard questions, and leave knowing whether Kythera fits your programme.
